Dialogic Presents on Blurriness Measurement at Image Quality and System Performance VIII

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

What:
Dialogic will discuss a new approach for measuring blurriness in still and video images in the presentation, "A universal and reference-free blurriness measure."

Why:
Image quality (whether in still images or as part of a video stream) can be affected by a wide range of impairments. One of the more common impairments is blurriness in the image. However, analysis and detection of blurry images is not straightforward - it often requires extensive processing and is sometimes impossible to achieve in real-time. In this presentation, Dialogic will discuss an innovative, universal and reference-free blurriness measurement approach - applying transition probabilities to perceptual quality assessment for the first time. This is significant, because this approach can be used for real-time video analysis.

Who:
Dr. Jeffrey A. Bloom, CTO of Dialogic® Media Labs

When:
"A universal and reference-free blurriness measure"
Monday, January 24, 2011
4:00 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. PST

Where:
Hyatt Regency Hotel San Francisco Airport
1333 Bayshore Highway
Burlingame, California 94010 USA
